Admission for Courses Star Vocational Center

Star Vocational Training Center (SVTC) Main purpose of Star Vocational Training Institute is to create an enabling environment for the rehabilitation of ultra-poor, needy children, youth and GBV families. Its aimed is to improve income generation opportunities by enabling skills development, enhancement of basic business and financial skills, women entrepreneurial development and employability through promotion of a competitive skills training market.  Motivating and guiding women, people with disability, afghan refugees and youth to be the new generation entrepreneurs and economic empowerment to shape themselves and to be productive units of the country. SVTI well designed to facilitate economic rehabilitation and empowerment of Gender Based Violence (GBV) survivors, children, beggars and blinds seeking shelter in star welfare organization. The economic rehabilitation and capacity building program run under SWO will take into account the long term needs of these women and equip them the required skills sets to reintegrate into society in a successful manner and become economically self-sufficient The institute is providing free education, skill trainings on stitching (tailoring), cooking, cosmetics, beautician, bayco-lights trainings and different computer courses. The financial support also provides to students for higher education. The organization has network with institutions that provide micro credit services and link a minimum 50 women with these for initiation of entrepreneurial activity in a year. In order to integrate the target group into the formal employment sector, the organization has created linkages with relevant stakeholders such as chambers of commerce and industries employment and exchange commissions, and established job placement agencies. advocate for systemic changes that will promote gender-equity and help protect the rights of women and children. Hawa Shelter Home provides emergency shelter for women and women with children on a short-term basis. Shelter is well-equipped to deal with immediate needs of women in distress and provide them the necessary medical care, physical, psychological, legal and emotional needs of the GBV survivors seeking temporary shelter. Hawa shelter home is a comprehensive wellness based program aimed at providing much more than just shelter to its clients, we offers the following services: Emergency Care/Services* 1. If anyone needs shelter or information, can call +92483-717220, SMS +92321-6001323 & info@starwelfare.org .SAFE 2. Emergency shelter for women and children 3. Living accommodations and meals for up to 35 women and children at a time. 4. Clothing, personal care and hygiene items 5. Formal and informal education to women & children. 6. Professional counseling (Psycho-social & legal counseling) 7. Provision of crisis management assistance (Medico legal, first aid etc.) 8. Individual case management 9. Economic empowerment 10. Religious support groups and classes 11. Social Inclusion and follow up. A shelter to cater for overcoming the situation in terms of gender based violence and access to justice, mobility, socio cultural and human rights, In order to get women issue safeguarded. The formal and informal education is available to all women and children who reside at the shelter. We have setup different programs to enables our women to earn their livelihood and acquire other career skills, to become better prepared to support themselves or their family, while maintaining stability and their spiritual walk. Recently, we have established 25-beds “Star Women’s Hostel” at Rawalpindi & Sargodha for the support of poor and needy women/girls, who are needed hostel to enhance their education.
