Rasulaan bibi's Story

Rasulaan bibi's Story

The name of the woman is Rasulaan Bibi, and she is originally from Chokira. She has two sons and two daughters and is approximately 80 years old. She is unable to walk properly now, and due to this, her children have become frustrated with her and have started seeking advice on how to get rid of her.

They spoke with the chairman of an NGO, who then sent Rasulaan Bibi to the Hawa Shelter Home for refuge. Her eldest daughter accompanied her and explained that her own house was very small, and her husband was not willing to keep her mother. Therefore, she could not accommodate her. She also mentioned that her younger sister was married into a well-off family, but she too could not take their mother in.

Both sisters, however, rented a small room in their neighborhood, Rehmanpura, for 1,500 rupees per month, where they arranged for their mother to stay. They used to visit her during the day. However, both of their brothers' wives were unwilling to let Rasulaan Bibi stay with them.

Despite being their mother, the siblings felt helpless as they had their own families to take care of. Eventually, they were referred to the Hawa Shelter Home. The elder daughter personally visited the shelter and requested that they provide refuge for her mother. She explained that her mother had suffered a leg injury in an accident, which made it difficult for her to walk.

She further mentioned that while Rasulaan Bibi initially lived in Chokira, they were unaware of much about her past there. However, she assured that she would visit her mother once or twice a month. She found the shelter's contact and address through online research on the Star Welfare Organization and also gathered information about it from people in her neighborhood.

She pleaded for the shelter to take good care of her mother, as they were helpless due to their family circumstances. She emphasized that it was primarily the duty of the sons to take care of their mother, but they were unable to do so due to pressure from their wives.
