Successful Story
A
mother's unwavering love led to a triumphant recovery from addiction.
Four months ago, her son, who had been arrested on drug charges and
referred by ASP City Samee Sheikh and SHO Urban Area police station, was
admitted to the Star Turk Nasha Center. Today, she and her daughter
visited him, tears of joy replacing the anguish they'd endured for so
long. Her son, remorseful and begging for forgiveness, had finally been
freed from addiction's grip. The mother recounted her ordeal,
detailing the numerous calls to the emergency line (15) and the
desperation that finally led them to the police. She expressed profound
gratitude to the Sargodha Police, the Police Protection Center, and the
DPO Sargodha for their assistance in getting her son into the Star
Welfare Organization's Star Turk Nasha Center. His addiction had caused
irreparable damage: his wife and children had left him, he was violent,
financially irresponsible, verbally abusive, and even physically
attacked his father, destroying his motorcycle. Despite this, her
maternal love persevered. She had tried everything – prayers,
interventions – but nothing worked until he entered the center. Now,
seeing her son healthy and repentant, she pledged to support his
recovery, hoping to rebuild their family. She passionately warned other
parents about the destructive power of addiction, sharing her own
heartbreaking experience of how it had shattered her family's peace and
stability. She issued a powerful message to all struggling with
addiction: "Addiction offers no solace, no life, only the loss of self
and loved ones. It destroys homes and families.” With a final plea, she
prayed for an end to the drug trade, hoping that those who peddle
destruction might one day understand the devastation they cause. Her
story stands as a testament to the power of a mother's love and the
transformative potential of rehabilitation.
