If the patient is not treated, how will the patient recover? More sadly, in case of relapse, all the blame is placed on the patient . Due to brutal behavior, patients and their families lose confidence in the treatment and recovery of the patient .becomes impossible. We as a society need to take some serious practical steps so that we can collectively try to get out of this misery. 1. First of all, experts should be honest with their profession. Honesty requires that they have complete knowledge and experience about their profession and secondly, that they should be sincere with their profession so that they can give the best treatment to any patient who comes to them. There should be strict punishment for drug trafficking and the punishment should be enforced. "Addiction is a disorder and not moral weakness or lack of training" should be campaigned on social media and electronic media so that people understand it as a disorder and instead of hiding it, they can come to get out of it. People in recovery should also be invited to various programs where they can share their success stories (anonymously) in order to create a ray of hope for addicts and their families and eliminate stigma. The government should create institutions where homeless or poor drug addicts can be given shelter as well as free treatment. After recovering from addiction, they should be equipped with education or taught different skills to make them live and become active citizens of the society. If a drug addict is caught committing an illegal act (theft, vandalism, fighting, drug dealing, drug use, etc.), then the public should not take the law into their hands and hand him over to such institutions where he will not only be kept free from new drugs, but also guided and assisted in coming to recovery. In short, addiction is a mental disorder due to which changes occur in the structure and functions of the mind of the addict, due to which they completely lose control over their thoughts and actions, and in such a situation, the patient can do anything. Therefore, understanding the nature of this disorder, we should make a collective effort to remove the patient from it so that our society can be free from this disease.
