Who We Are

Star Welfare Organization (Punjab)

Star Welfare Organization is a non-profit, non-governmental and non-political organization came into existence on Feb 04, 2006 & voluntary Registered under Social Welfare Agencies (Registration and Control) Ordinance 1961.

The organization is concerned promotion of a culture of peace with matters relating to gender based violence and discrimination; women rights and development; child rights, eunuchs’ rights, beggars’ rehabilitation, disable persons, women’s shelters, police torture and missing persons. This organization is strongly committed towards women human rights, women sustainable social, economic development and consistent justice within society. Organization also struggling for the betterment of the bonded/brick kiln labourers in a peaceful and proactive way. Star welfare Organization has its Head Office in Sargodha, and regional office in the Rawalpindi.

MISSION:

To bring about positive and lasting change in the society by provisions of services that combat violence against women, gender and adolescents, gender discrimination, promotes economic development, Child Protection, social and cultural empowerment and consistent justice within society.

VISION:

Our vision is a society in which everyone attains the right to survival, equity, protection, development and participation. A peaceful society and world free from gender based violence and discrimination.

Star Welfare Organization Hawa Shelter Home (پناہ گاہ )

Hawa Shelter Homes are the umbrella frame work of Star Welfare Organization for women’s rights & access to social inclusion that is located in street # 2 new abadi kot fareed city Sargodha, Punjab. We maintain two 90-bed & 25-bed shelters location for women who have left abusive relationships with or without their children and an off-site location for women in the community who are seeking support. Agency staff provides counselling, safety planning, women and children’s groups, legal and court support, referrals, economic rehabilitation, and information and education about violence against women and girls. So that women are fully empowerment and equipped with required skills for successful re-integration into the society.It is one of the few facilities in Seattle that accepts women with male children up to age 10. This shelter is designed to create an enabling environment to develop and demonstrate a system which leads to full rehabilitation and self-fulfilment of survivors of Gender Based Violence (GBV) that provides shelter and supportive services to women and their children.
